Daniel Andrews and the Victorian Government have cut support to struggling small businesses during this second COVID-19 lock down.
In the first lock down, small businesses were provided with $10,000 of State Government support. In the second lock down the Victorian State Government cut the small business support to just $5,000.
I believe this decision was wrong and unfair given the threat the second COVID-19 lock down is posing to the viability of small businesses and the risk to jobs. This is particularly so given a significant cause of this surge and second lockdown is state government mismanagement, including of quarantine.
