Honourable William Montgomery CAMPBELL

Member for East Yarra Province (March 1964 – April 1983)

Mechanical engineer and business manager. Born 10 June 1920, Blantyre, Scotland. Married 1945; two sons and one daughter. Deceased 9 June 1996.

Educated at RMIT engineering and industrial management; chief draftsman and estimating engineer, Rheem Australia Pty Ltd 1945-48; works manager, sales and manufacturing manager Fischer & Porter Pty Ltd (scientific instrument co.) 1948-64, chairman 1972-82; member Victorian Institute of Colls, Council 1976-81; before Parliament treasurer Camberwell Ratepayers’ Association, member state executive Schools Councils and Committees Association of Victoria, Ashburton Progress Association; MAIM; member LTAV.
