Senior Victorian ministers continue to fly around the globe for no apparent return to taxpayers while basic services collapse, Shadow Minister responsible for Scrutiny of Government David Davis said today.

Details of the Brumby Government’s ministerial travel revealed today show that Acting Premier Rob Hulls spent $24,000 to go to the races in Hong Kong while Environment Minister Gavin Jennings took his third trip to the United States at taxpayer expense since the start of last year. Brumby Government One of Australia’s Top Ten Advertisers

In 2008 the Brumby Government was Australia’s eighth largest advertiser*, climbing the rankings and up 17.3 per cent on its 2007 spending, Shadow Minister responsible for Scrutiny of Government David Davis said today.

Govt Does Nothing Until Coalition Releases Lobbyists Register Policy

Three weeks after the Victorian Liberal Nationals Coalition announced its policy to immediately establish a register of lobbyists to ensure the highest standards of probity and integrity in Victorian public life, the Brumby Government has been shamed into finally fulfilling a Labor election promise made three years ago.
