Do you support reducing the additional rebate on private health insurance for Victorians aged 65 and a further reduction for Victorians aged 70?
Under the proposed changes, Victorians aged 65 and over earning under $105,000 as a single person, or $210,000 as a family, will have their private health insurance rebate reduced from 28.14% to 24.12%. For those aged 70 and over, the rebate will be reduced from 32.16% to 24.12%. Would this reduction in private health insurance lead you ro reduce your level of cover or drop private health insurance altogether?
Will this reduction in the private health insurance rebate force more Victorians into the public system, removing their choice of private hospital treatment, and increase public waiting time?
