The February 2019 metropolitan rail punctuality and performance data shows that Daniel Andrews and his government failed to provide the reliability the public demands and deserves of our metropolitan trains, with 9.2 per cent – almost one in ten trains – not on time.
The reported system wide punctuality fell below the 92 per cent target. Eight out of the 16 metro rail lines, 50 per cent of the metro system failed to meet the benchmark. The Cranbourne and Pakenham lines were the worst performing with punctuality at 83 per cent, and 83.1 per cent respectively.
